This challenge in relation to this refurbishment was to maintain

the existing house’s character but bring its thermal efficiency to a

much higher level. The main works involved were:

Demolition of side extension

Upgrade and replacement of existing heating system with

condensing gas boiler and mariot radiators with zoned control as

well as new sanitary ware and marble tiling.

Rewire including intruder alarm

Extensive insulated drylining of internal walls

Remodelling of existing kitchen area and installation of new

kitchen/appliances open to garden patio.

Replacement of single glazed windows with new efficient double

glazed windows.

Extensive landscaping and siteworks and new access driveway

and automated gate.

As well as the above upgrade South Dublin Construction carried

out the new build of 10 high specification houses and associated

siteworks.
